Service Description: This map illustrates the strategic relocation of the town of Valmeyer from the flood-affected Mississippi River floodplain to higher ground. The layers present in the map are:
Old Parcels Layer: Displays the original location of Valmeyer with parcels symbolized in a single color.
New Parcels Layer: Shows the new location of Valmeyer, with parcels symbolized by their mean elevation. This layer includes additional attributes for mean, minimum, and maximum elevation, as well as mean, minimum, and maximum slope. It also contains an attribute for the mean distance from the old town.
New Roads Layer: Includes newly digitized roads based on gaps in the parcels data at the new location.
