Description:

This dataset contains polygon features representing counties of California with associated wildfire impact data from 2012 to 2022. The wildfire impact was calculated by dissolving multiple wildfire perimeter polygons and intersecting them with county boundaries. The attribute table includes calculated fields for the total area burned by wildfires (in acres) and the percentage of each county's area affected. This layer was created as part of a GIS project for wildfire recovery analysis, using ArcGIS Pro software and publicly available wildfire perimeter data. The area calculations were performed in US Survey Acres to ensure consistency.
