The CWPP WebGIS Database contains proposed and treated projects; risks and hazards; and values and assets. Hundreds of projects were identified for each of the Humboldt County Community Wildfire Protection Plan’s 14 Planning Units through community workshop mapping exercises during initial CWPP development (2004-2005) and subsequent update (2012; 2017) processes. Additional projects and updates have been contributed since then by  various community groups. The database is intended to be a "living" component of the CWPP; keeping it updated enables project planning among partners across the county. It is the intention of the Humboldt County Fire Safe Council that this database of projects be used as a starting point for project development by local groups within each CWPP Planning Unit. Any recommended vegetation treatments in the CWPP must be undertaken with the consent and involvement of the property owner and the observance of all applicable local, Tribal, state, and federal laws and regulations. Please work closely with the applicable regulatory and permitting authority as projects are developed, particularly if public funds are being used and/or the project will take place on public lands or in public right-of-ways.
