This dataset comprises extensively updated, improved and value-added road centerlines originally based on Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) data. The source data was downloaded from the koordinates.com website. More information about the data is available at koordinates.com. The source data has been modified in the following ways:

• The dataset was converted from a shapefile to a geodatabase feature class.

• The dataset was projected to NZGD 2000 New Zealand Transverse Mercator.

• The dataset name was changed.

• The data was clipped to roads that intersected the Marlborough region.

• Features representing railroads and walkways were removed.

• A text attribute was added to interpret the road class numeric value.

• Some attributes were deleted, renamed, or hidden.
