Service Description: This interactive map serves as a visual tool to accompany the Catalytic Brownfield Consultant’s (CBC) report on Catalytic Brownfields in Canada, which can be found here:

This map will serve as an instrument that will live beyond that of CBC’s final report as it represents a collection of projects with catalytic potential across Canada and can be continually updated with future projects while directing future professionals and parties interested in catalytic brownfield information to the CBC’s research and findings.
Click on a brownfield project to display information collected during CBC’s research, including a project’s catalytic potential, if applicable.
Highlighted are 6 case study’s from which CBC has determined the following four catalytic factors that a brownfield project with catalytic potential possess:
1. Proximity to Downtown
2. Downtown Revitalization
3. Proximity to Water
4. Public/Private Partnership
The map also features Brownie Award winners from 2016-present as they demonstrate excellence and thus may offer catalytic potential.
