Service Description: Fire Service Boundaries are polygons that define the operational geospatial area of responsibility of Fire agencies in Georgia. As of 2024, this dataset is used by computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems within Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to correctly identify the primary service provider for response. In the future, this same data will be used within the Next Generation 911 system (the ESInet) to identify primary response agencies and to support call transfers and documentation.
