Description: Higher values of the ratio indicate that more water is being removed from the system relative to what is available for natural reentry, and are thus considered more stressed (i.e., the larger dots on the map). For example, a watershed labeled with a white dot sees 141 units of groundwater recharged for every one that is removed, whereas a watershed labeled with a purple dot sees only 3-17 units of groundwater naturally recharged for every one unit that is removed.
