The GDB was originally created using an pre-existing GDB created by former City staff. This pre-existing GDB originated from a GIS mapping project completed circa 2010 by Bravo Environmental, a company that has since been acquired by another company and now (Dec. 2022) operates as AQUALIS. Original GIS mapping files are saved in this archive file on the network: \\LFPDC-04\cityshare\GIS\GIS_Data\LFP_Data\Public_Works\Data\Archive\Stormwater Archive. Updates to Catchbasins&Inlets in 2022 included:
- Updates to "CatchBasins&Inlets" based on a consolidation of numerous shapefiles representing CB locations in different areas of the City. These shapefiles were created by miscellaneous CB mapping efforts undertaken by DPW and its vendors between 2010± and 2021 and are saved in the aforementioned archive folder. The consolidation work was performed by the City's AWC GIS Consortium consultant (FLO Analytics).
- Data on pipe direction, sump depth, were all gathered by inspectors at AQUALIS in 2022. Complete inspection results shapefiles are stored in \\LFPDC-04\cityshare\GIS\GIS_Data\LFP_Data\Public_Works\Data\Stormwater\Catchbasin Inspections Jan 2022
Inventory of all stormwater flow control, water quality, and regional stormwater facilities that are inspected or maintained by King County. The layer displays the boundary of the facility based on assets that are included within the facility.
The attributes include the Non-Pollution Generating Impervious Surface Area (NPGISA) within each drainage area and the Pollution Generating Impervious Area (PGISA) based on land cover data generated by Parametrix in 2022. NPGISA and PGISA calculations are in ft^2 and do not automatically recalculate when drainage area shapes are updated.
The Service Area that's included in the attributes of the KC Facility data is also included, which comes from the Facility TIR.
