This dataset provides a standardized spatial reference for the five Petroleum Administration for Defense Districts (PADDs) covering the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. These districts support consistent regional analysis of petroleum supply, refining activity, transportation patterns, and market conditions. The dataset enables integration with federal and state energy statistics and supports mapping, visualization, and analytical workflows that require regionally aggregated petroleum data.

PADD 6 and PADD 7, which apply to U.S. territories, are not included.
