Description: STORMTOOLS is a collection of tools designed specifically to map storm inundation along the Rhode Island coast, with and without sea level rise. Data products and reports are available at the Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan's website (http://www.beachsamp.org)
As part of this work, STORMTOOLS models were used to generate new Base Flood Elevation (BFE) and storm surge surfaces for Rhode Island's coast. To avoid confusion with existing FEMA BFE maps, STORMTOOLS refers to these data as "Stormtools Design Elevation" (SDE) maps.
These LIMWA (Limit of Moderate Wave Action) datasets were developed alongside the SDE maps.
