Red River Flood Stage Polygons were updated for the Moorhead area using the FM 2020 LiDAR. The River Stage profiles were derived from the Fargo Moorhead FIS steady state models used to develop the FEMA Floodplain mapping. Profiles are all related to USGS gage 05054000 on the Red River of The North. Profiles were created from River stage 18 to River Stage 44 at one-half foot intervals. Permanent and emergency protection measures were used to establish a conceptual line of protection in the study area. Areas were identified as either protected by levee, river flooding or private protection. These data are intended only as a guideline and not for emergency planning.
