It was downloaded from the USGS FTP site. CARES has incorporated this data set to complete the state-wide set. The original SDTS info files have been removed due to space constraints. Hypsography is a representation of the surface of the earth. Line coverages represent continuous contours and point coverages represent specific points. All data for Missouri is 1:24,000 scale, UTM Zone 15. All data was created in NAD27 and projected to NAD83 using ArcInfo's Project command. This project was undertaken to provide digital forms of hypsographic data for the development of DLG (digital line graph) representations. This Missouri Digital Hypsography project was paid for by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
